Bayo Adelabu’s Biography, Family and Education
Adebayo Adekola Adelabu was born in September 28th, 1970 to the popular Adelabu family of Ibadan. His father was Aderibigbe Adelabu while his grandfather was Adegoke Adelabu (Penkelemesi).
He had his primary and secondary education at Ibadan. Bayo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where he bagged a First Class Degree in Accounting.
He is a Fellow of ICAN and CIBN and has also done professional courses in top-notch schools like Harvard University, Stanford University, University of London.
Adelabu worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Standard Chartered Bank, First Bank of Nigeria before getting appointed by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as the Deputy Governor, Operations for CBN. His appointment was in the year 2014.

He is a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) and left the public service in 2018 after his stint at Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Adelabu declared his interest in the Oyo State Governor’s position in June 2018 when after picking his APC’s governorship aspirant form.
